Librivox recording of The Chestermarke Instinct by J. S. Fletcher.
Read by MaryAnn.

Bank manager John Hornbury is missing, as are securities and jewels from the bank’s vault. Gabriel Chestermarke and his nephew Joseph have unaccountably refused to call in the police to investigate the theft from their bank. When Betty Fosdyke shows up to visit her Uncle John, she finds it past belief that he would simply disappear – let alone that he would commit larceny. Unable to simply sit by and wait while a detective from Scotland Yard investigates, Betty elicits the help of the chief clerk at Chestermarke’s bank and launches into the middle of the mystery.(Summary by MaryAnn)

Subject: Excellent story
Another excellent story added to the public domain.

John Hornbury is missing, along with some jewels and bank securities that he was responsible for. His niece is worried, and launches an investigation into his disappearance, but the bank owners want nothing to do with it, other than to determine how much was stolen. Why won't they help in the search for Mr Hornbury? What are they hiding?

Reader is excellent, easy to follow and understand. This book also kept me listening till the end. Enjoy!

Subject: Very good mystery
This is a great story one that winds here and there, but is fast moving. This is a very good story by J. S. Fletcher. It will keep you interested just like the Middle Temple Murder.

I enjoyed this audio book thoroughly - it was a could not stop listening experience. One of my favorite parts is the last sentence.
